BAHFest Seattle 2017
BAHFest is a celebration of well-argued and thoroughly researched but completely incorrect scientific theory. Our brave speakers present their bad theories in front of a live audience and a panel of judges with real science credentials, who together determine who takes home the coveted BAHFest trophy. And eternal glory, of course.
Come join us on Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 at Temple De Hirsch Sinai located at 1441 – 16th Avenue, Seattle, WA, 98122

When not at work, Tim enjoys trivia, eating out, traveling, eating out while traveling, trivia while traveling, trivia while eating out, and karaoke. Originally from Idaho, Tim graduated from the University of Southern California but has lived in Seattle for most of his adult life due to the weather here being a better match for his personality.
Karen Donohue
Presenter
Karen is a tech overlord by day/mad scientist by night. When she isn’t thinking of creative new ways to improve the planet, she spends most her time writing comedy and making comics.
Tom Nugent
Presenter
Tom used to be a physicist, then he went to the dark side: Engineering. In his wireless power start-up, LaserMotive, he’s combining welding lasers with robots to wirelessly power drones, which will usher in Skynet and doom us all. This is Tom’s second appearance at BAHfest, since Zach didn’t learn his lesson last time.
David Gould
Presenter
Raised in NASA’s backyard on a steady diet of computers, David has been exploring aeronautics, science, and technology ever since. He has a passion for gleefully falsifying reality, and looks forward to one day following that to its ultimate conclusion by having his mind uploaded to a computer.
Robin McLachlan
Presenter
Robin McLachlan is a PhD student in oceanography at the University of Washington. As a scientist, she travels all around the world to exotic, tropical beaches in pursuit of her research topic… mud, that slippery, mushy, stinky stuff that builds our coastal world. In her free time, she enjoys long walks through the woods, sipping on a good stout, and happening upon the greatest of creatures – the bear.
